All great duos rely heavily on contrasting personalities. I mean, if they’re both the same one is redundant, right? Just look at Laurel and Hardy, The Smothers Brothers, The Honeymooners, Moses and Aaron.
Boo and Duck couldn't contrast more. "Gnats" illustrates
a recurring theme in their relationship born of this difference. Namely,
annoyance.
